It combines typography, layout application and colour theory across multiple platforms.

For the painted dog logo I wanted to keep it simple typography to contrast the dog illustrations on the packaging. Dogs are joyous and fun-loving animals, so I chose a playful and fun typeface for the logo.
To contrast the eccentric typeface of the logo I chose the simple sans-serif Source Sans Pro for all other text.
I chose blue/turquoise for the main colour for this brand. Blue is seen as a loyal and trustworthy colour, just like your faithful canine companion. Having the blue in combination with the playful typography of the logo gives off a fun, yet professional vibe.
For the accent colour I chose a soothing green colour. Green symbolizes the natural world and by muting it the effect is reassuring and calming. The same feeling one might get while enjoying nature with their dog or cuddling them on the couch. Also, all dogs I know have a favourite toy and it is often green. Some more eccentric owners may buy the treat their dog is most drawn to in the pet shop. I hope by having green on the packaging, some dogs will be more drawn to it.
Business card mock-up
To stay on the professional, yet playful theme I chose to make the business card have both those aspects in it. The front of the card has an eye-catching block of colour with the negative version of the logo. The backside is still clear and simple to read but having the slant in it gives it an edgy feel by breaking out of the norm.

The overall packaging for each treat size is uniform. Their identifying feature is the dog illustration on the front. Each size has it's own signature dog. New customers can use these dog illustrations as guidance to what sized treat they should purchase for their pup. Repeat customers can quickly identify which bag to grab by the dog on the front. The size of treat is also indicated in text on the front of the packaging as well.
The small sized treat is identified by a pug.

Here is a single page ad that can be used as a magazine ad or poster. I've paired the model dog with their designated package.

I created a frisbee as an example of a promotional item. A perfect item the customer can share with their dog or just with friends.
